This book is awesome. It is an easy read. Enough theology to support the information, but enough humanity for the novice to understand. It is also a great foundation for very lively discussions. We are having "The 95" class at my church in honor and memory of the Reformation and the book couldn't be more perfect. Highly recommend.
Good introduction to Lutheran thought. For those who are already Lutheran, this book may add additional helpful information. I found it simple to read and understand and most of what it contained was information I already knew. This would be an excellent book for anyone who wishes to look into what Lutherans believe and aspire to do.
Martin E. Marty has written a little book that is clearly applicable to all flavors of Lutheran teaching and practice. Marty provides enough detail to satisfy while keeping the answers short enough to be useful. He covers important points I had not thought of and filled many gaps in my understandings. An excellent resource for Lutherans and non-Lutherans alike. It can be read in just a few hours and discussed for many days. Highly recommend it for anyone interested in understanding the Lutheran perspective and practice.
This is an excellent book. I have read it and am now using it for class at Ascenion Lutheran Church Savannah. It is easy to read and reminds us of the things we should know about our faith.
Good, but a little wordy I think.
Seems like some questions can not be answered, but am sure that someday we will know why. This book was in excellent shape and I am thumbing thru it all the time now so defintly has the used look, now.Good book for referance and learning the bible. So happy I saw it and the vendor was so fast in shipping God bless you all.
